“ I cold brewed this based on other reviews. It was a nice light amber brown. It seemed to keep it's passion fruit essence, which was light. Sweetener is almost a must to really enjoy what this tea has to offer. Overall, it didn't wow me. ”

“ This had a noticeable bitterness on the first sip followed by a light fruitiness. Maybe that's just the way passionfruit tastes? I don't know. I tried it iced and the bitterness wasn't as pronounced but the fruit taste wasn't as pronounced either. I'm glad Adagio does samples so I can try before I commit to a full pouch. Steeped for 3 min. with boiling water. ”(3 mins @ 208°F)
blended with black tea, apple pieces, natural passionfruit flavor & marigold flowers
The passionfruit (Passiflora edulis,) native to Brazil, Paraguay, and northern Argentina, also grows now in Australia, South Africa, Israel, and in the U.S., in Florida and Hawaii. Its most frequent culinary application is pulsing its sweet/tart tropical flavor and intense aroma into a luxe syrup for cocktails and soft drinks or to flavor a meringue-based Pavlova. The fruit's juicy orange pulp contains many small, dark seeds which can be pressed into an oil for cooking or commercial art paints. South American Indians use it as a digestion aid or as maracuja grande, to treat bronchitis or sore throats holistically.
