Formosa Bai Hao in bulk available for wholesale. Oolong tea from Taiwan. Formosa, meaning 'beautiful' was what the Dutch explorers called this island. The oolong tea grown here continues to be called as such. The intense pungency and exquisite bouquet of Formosa Oolong tea is regarded to be the finest in the world. However, only the finest of Formosa teas warrant the label of 'fancy' grade. This is such tea. Our 'Oolong Symphony no. 40' has dark, silver-tipped leaves and produces a mesmerizing cup of delicate peachy notes and warm, soothing flavor. Well deserving its nickname as the true champagne of teas.
This tea contains a moderate level of caffeine | Steep at 195° for 2-3 minutes.

“ The presence of beautiful white-tipped oolong tea buds were seen in the bag. After steep, I was greeted with a handsome chestnut color cup of tea. Very slight malty chocolate flavors were noted. When warm, honey-sweet and nutty flavors were tasted. Pleasant astringent aftertastes similar to un-sweetened dark chocolate hangs around for quite a while allowing you to enjoy this tea even longer. This was a very different tasting oolong and extremely drinkable. Not bad for a “bug-bitten” 🦗tea ... you’ll have to Google this! (3 mins first steep/2 mins subsequent steeps @ 190F) ”

“ The dry tea has a savory aroma. The whole small leaves are dark green and light brown. The steeped tea has a somewhat vegetal fragrance. The tea liquor was a dark amber almost brown. A nicely balanced depth of flavor. The tea had malty, nutty flavors. A smooth mouth feel, with a long lasting sweet aftertaste. It holds up for many steeps with different flavors taking turns in the lead, I enjoyed the second steep the most, although every cup of this tea is delightful. Another enjoyable cup of tea. ”
A white tippy oolong of incredible complexity, Formosa Bai Hao (aka Oriental Beauty) is a heavily oxidized oolong (about 80%) that renders the leaves a beautiful reddish color following its extensive withering time. Exceptional craftsmanship is evident in the dry leaf. Infused, the tea proffers multiple infusions of a juicy fruitiness that caresses the palate as the fragrance echoes a summer peach. Provide a slight 30 second rinse then brew in your gaiwan to get the most out of them. Don't be stingy; pack in those leaves for the ultimate taste sensation. An oolong to cherish.
