Renowned for their elegant design, the cast iron teapot is highly desired for its durability as well as its unique functionality. Inspired by traditional Japanese tea ware, these Tetsubin style teapots feature heat-retaining properties that aid in keeping brewed tea at the proper serving temperature for up to an hour. While intended for steeping, these pots are enameled on both the inside and outside, which allow them to to be used on a stove top and ease of cleaning. Set includes a stainless steel tea brewing basket.
Particle design offers an elegant, repeated hobnail pattern for those who appreciate meditative simplicity.

“ I absolutely love this teapot! I've been looking for a way to brew larger quantities of tea and this is the perfect pot for that. As long as you fill the pot, the water comes up high enough for the tea to steep nicely. It keeps my tea warm for ~2hrs, but I boil water in my kettle so it may stay hot longer if you put it directly on the stove. This was exactly what I was looking for in a teapot and I'm extremely happy with it! ”

“ I adore my new teapot. It's gorgeously made and keeps my tea piping hot, and it's so very, very aesthetic! I love that I can plunk it down on the warming burner of my stove, basket loaded up with honeybush or rooibos, and enjoy steaming cups of tea all afternoon. My two complaints are: one, that the basket is hard to remove when hot --it fits perfectly, but there's nothing to grab onto to pull it out of the pot. And two, the basket is shallow, so you have to fill the pot completely with water to get a proper steep, so then when it comes to a boil it invariably boils over. I try to avoid this by heating it on a low setting. Best used with teas that tolerate long steeping. ”
